Mendocino’s inn above the beach. Close to everything. Away from it all.
Although it feels like a cottage, the Village Farm Retreat is actually a small part of a large 100+ year old Victorian on a one acre property two blocks up the hill from the inn. There’s a complete wall separating it from the other part of the house and it has its own entrance. The wonderfully landscaped garden includes a pond and chicken coop (no roosters!). The retreat has one bedroom upstairs with a double bed and great ocean view from the writer's desk. On the main level is a small living room that has a double sized futon and two chairs and a small efficiency kitchen, a TV, DVD and a stereo. The private bathroom has a claw foot tub with a shower attachment. There’s a lovely porch where you can sit and relax and enjoy the peaceful garden and the view of Mendocino Bay and the ocean. Because the Village Farm Retreat is a vacation rental and is two blocks away, breakfast and daily housekeeping service are not included.
