From San Francisco at the Golden Gate Bridge

- Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and continue North on Hwy. 101 through Santa Rosa to Hwy. 128 at Cloverdale. As you turn onto Hwy. 128, you are about 1 ½ hours from Alegria.
- Go West on 128 through winding hill country, the Anderson Valley (stop for wine or apple tasting), and the Navarro Redwoods.
- Hwy. 128 joins Hwy. 1 at the coast. Follow Hwy. 1 North for 10 miles.

Optional scenic coastal route from San Francisco

- Take Hwy. 1 South to the coast. This part of the drive is very winding, so be prepared!

- After the stop light at Little Lake Road, take the next right onto Main Street.

- Go West on Hwy. 50 for about 100 miles to I-80 (Sacramento area)
