Dining

Picnics

For dining in your room, on the beach, at a winery, a State Park or the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens: Order a picnic to be delivered to your room. If you’ll be arriving late, after the restaurants close (as early as 8:30 in the off-season), it’s an especially good option for dinner or a late night nosh.

In the village of Mendocino

Café Beaujolais — One block away. Fine gourmet dining, with an international reputation. On site brick oven bakery, eclectic gardens.
Luna Trattoria — 1-1/2 blocks away.  The newest restaurant in the village. They have relocated from Ft. Bragg where they had a loyal following to the former 955 Ukiah Street Restaurant location.  We’ve heard nothing be good things about their authentic Italian Cuisine. Peggy and Jamie of 955 are still on the coast.  After a little rest, they’ll do some catering when the jobs fit into their travel schedule.
Mendocino Café — 2 blocks away. In a casual setting, there is local art on the walls, local residents at the tables, and great food on the plates.
Flow Restaurant and Lounge — 4 blocks away. Opened in October 2013 in the former Bay View Cafe spot. It is a lively place with a full bar serving meals all day. The best ocean views of any restaurant in town.
MacCallum House Restaurant — 3 blocks away. Fine dining in a Victorian setting, or café/bar dining in an ocean view glassed-in porch. Fresh organic ingredients, thoughtfully prepared.
Mendocino Hotel — 3 blocks away. Elegant Victorian dining room in the historic Hotel. Have a drink with the locals in the beautiful bar/lobby.
Trillium Café — 5 blocks away. The newest restaurant, it occupies the former Moosse Cafe space. Sandra and Saul, the owners, have Mendocino roots that run deep and wide. Very friendly place with good, straightforward food and service that is both casual and attentive.
The Ravens Restaurant at the Stanford Inn — A mile south of the village. Excellent and imaginative vegan food made from fresh organic ingredients in a beautiful setting with ocean, river and forest views. So tasty, even ominivores will enjoy it!

Little River

Glendeven Inn — 2 miles south. Intimate Farm to Table dinners served on select nights. Four course prix fixe menu.
Little River Inn Restaurant — 3 miles south. Great food and a view of the Inn’s beautiful garden.

Albion

Albion River Inn — 15 minutes south. Bluff top ocean view restaurant serving consistently great food. Amazing wine list, helpful wait staff, live music.
Ledford House — 16 minutes south. Bluff top restaurant featuring gourmet food, spectacular views, and the chef’s art on the walls, too. Live music.
