Pacific Suite offers beach and white water views and privacy.

Step inside the spacious Pacific Suite and be greeted by a panoramic view: the beach where the ocean meets the river, and the ocean beyond, redwood tree covered hills to the east, and our perennial garden below. Enjoy the outdoor splendor from your private, south-facing deck. The Pacific Suite is one of only two guest rooms in the Main House. Both are on the second floor, separated by a stairwell and each has its own private outside entrance.

Custom features and luxury

You’ll admire the carefully crafted cabinetry and custom tile work created by artisans escaping to the wild Mendocino Coast in search of inspiration and a life connected to nature.  Relax in the oversized soaking tub with wood surround or the walk-in shower lined with Japanese tile.  A stunning built-in armoire made of old growth clear heart fir hides ample counter space, a wet bar sink, microwave, electric kettle, and small refrigerator. A table and two chairs by the window is perfect for gazing out while playing cards or Scrabble.  A wood burning fireplace adds romance.

A good night’s sleep

Sleep well on the queen size Flo-Bed sleep system which is made just 10 miles north in Ft. Bragg, California and shipped world wide. Layers of natural latex topped with an organic cotton and wool pad supports your whole body so there aren’t any pressure points.  You’ll awaken refreshed and ready to explore the Mendocino Coast along the awesome Pacific Ocean.

Extra bed

Think of a girls’ weekend away, mom and daughter reconnecting, two buddies exploring the coast, or a couple traveling with their teenager. The daybed couch allows for flexible sleeping arrangements so party of three (12 years and older, please) or two friends traveling together are quite comfortable in the Pacific Suite. (add $25 per night)

Did we mention breakfast?

Wake up to a warm, delicious, lovely breakfast each morning. For example, start with fresh organic fruit then vegetable frittata with a ginger apple or huckleberry scone, depending on the season. The next day might be Light and Tangy Oatmeal Waffles or Orange Pancakes with Orange butter syrup paired with locally made chicken apple sausage. We happily accommodate special dietary needs. You’ll have plenty of energy for hiking, biking, shopping, or wine tasting.  So many possibilities.
